The Trouble With Tribbles
Verse 1 I found one little Tribble On my front porch one day. It bounced a little closer, As if it meant to say, "Go ahead and take me home, I'll never be a pest." Well... That little ball of fluff Forgot to mention all the rest! Chorus Now there's Tribbles in my kitchen, Tribbles on the stair, Tribbles on the sofa, Tribbles everywhere! One is on my fedora, One is watching TV, Life was nice and peaceful... Till the Tribbles adopted me! Verse 2 They're bouncing through the hallway, Rolling down the floor, Every time I count them, There always seem like more. They're hiding in the pantry, They're sleeping in my chair, One somehow found the ceiling fan— Now fluff is in the air! Chorus Now there's Tribbles in my kitchen, Tribbles on the stair, Tribbles on the sofa, Tribbles everywhere! One is on my fedora, One is watching TV, Life was nice and peaceful... Till the Tribbles adopted me! Bridge I tried to make some breakfast, They beat me to the bowl. One bounced onto my newspaper, Another stole my roll. They're harmless little fluffballs, As soft as they can be, But every time I blink my eyes... There's twenty-three more I see! Final Chorus Now there's Tribbles in my kitchen, Tribbles in the hall, Tribbles on the windowsill, They're bouncing off the wall! One is on my fedora, One is taking tea, I guess I've learned the simple truth... The Tribbles now own me! Ending So if you find a fluffy friend Waiting by your door, Bring it home... ...Just don't be surprised... If there are hundreds more!
