*PHOTOGRAPHS ON MY FLOOR (Holiday Family Memory)* [START: Key G, Slow 75bpm, soft G drone on open G string, don't play melody yet] Verse 1 [Keep bowing soft G drone] In my room, photographs on my floor Fourteen summers and I'm wanting more Barefoot dancing in a yellow dress Mom said don't blink, it goes so fast Chorus [Switch to long slow bows: G - D - Em - C, one chord per line, let ring] But I got these memories, like fireflies in a jar Glowing in the dark, wherever we are And I don't want to let them go Every goodbye makes a little light to hold Verse 2 [Back to soft G drone, quieter] Echoes laugh down the hall, memories in a song Polaroids fading but the feeling stays strong We said forever at the Christmas light We didn't know forever starts tonight Bridge - Violin Only, No Singing [Stop singing, play loud and sad: G (4 beats) - Em (4 beats) - C (4 beats) - D (4 beats), long whole notes, heavy vibrato] Final Chorus - Whisper Sing [Very soft, play G + D double stop and hold it the whole time] I got these memories, like fireflies in a jar Keeping me warm, wherever you are I'm not letting go Just learning how to grow old. [END: Let G string ring out, fade to silence]
