The ancient records contain little information beyond sensor readings, navigation coordinates, and a handful of warnings written in an obsolete Ranesh dialect. Curiosity eventually wins, and the crew decides to make a short detour from their planned route. Several days later they arrive at the source of the anomaly: an isolated neutron star drifting alone through a remote region of space. At first glance the object appears almost unimpressive, a small sphere suspended in darkness. Yet the sensor data tells a very different story. The star's immense gravity bends light around it, distorts distant constellations, and subtly warps the surrounding space. For hours the crew conducts measurements and compares them with the centuries-old Ranesh records. Nare focuses on collecting data while Darek spends much of his time observing the phenomenon through the ship's viewing lounge. What fascinates him most is not the star itself, but the nature of gravity. It cannot be seen, touched, or heard, yet it shapes the movement of stars, planets, and entire galaxies. During the journey that follows, the thought refuses to leave him. Some forces never announce themselves. They simply influence every path, every choice, and every destination. Long after the Sector Nine leaves the neutron star behind, Darek continues reflecting on the invisible forces that shape both the universe and the lives of those who travel through it. Those reflections eventually become Gravitation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Spoken Words] "Aurelya...." "She says the records are over six thousand years old." "The Ranesh..." "My people came here more than once." "They never explained why." "You never really see gravity..." "You only see what it does." [Verse 1] The floor beneath me shifts again I lose my sense of ground A pressure builds inside my chest Persistent, cold and slow No ships in sight, no signal calls Just darkness and the star I strain against the gravity It answers no with force I know [Chorus] [orchestral brass accents] (Gravitation!), it keeps pulling me inside (Gravitation!), no escape, no place to hide I don't fall fast, I don't burn out I don't collapse [Verse 2] I tried to outrun what I felt I tried to change the pace But every step just curved the path Returned me to the drag The harder that I pushed away The closer was your trace Like light that curves around the core It brings me back once more [Chorus] (Gravitation!), it keeps pulling me inside (Gravitation!), no escape, no place to hide I don't fall fast, I don't burn out I don't collapse I'm held in place by gravitation Every time [Bridge] The star remains, it says no word Yet bends the light I see No hand at work, no hidden force Just mass and gravity I watch the distant starlight curve Around a point unseen Not something I can fight or flee Just something in between [Outro] No chains around my wrist or skin Just space collapsing in No hand that pulls, no voice that calls Just gravity behind it all [heavy guitar hits] (Gravitation!) Every motion leads me back (Gravitation!) Every force stays on this track No exit left, no breaking free From impact I give my weight to gravitation And don't crack
