Fool's Errand

I'd say it's been a nice affair and let's steer clear of a fool's errand. It might sound crass to speak in risk-reward But if we get perspective and consider what's cost-effective, Is something more worth heading toward? Are we pouring wine into a broken jar? Will it bring us to our knees? Sometimes it makes sense to ask if the juice is worth the squeeze. I'll say that you've been just amazing. So many nights with guns a-blazing. but lately has the barrel slightly cooled? As passion gets less hectic and lives grow more domestic, will we end up feeling fooled? Are we pouring wine into a broken jar? Will it bring us to our knees? Sometimes it makes sense to ask if the honey's worth the bees. You are strong and I am, too, but only so much we can do to strengthen our romantic quadriceps.
