Writer's note I've written original homage songs to many artists before, but this time it's an homage to Stanley Clarke, my personal favorite bassist. For the first time, I created a song with the bassist at the center. I built the chords by layering Rhodes sounds over a jungle-style drum machine, then Lynx tried funk arrangement with a regular acoustic guitar and a 12-string guitar i thoght, and finally arrived at the current arrangement with the bass feature. I didn't use any external AI prompts created by anything other than Lynx for this arrangement; it's an original arrangement conceived by Lynx and myself. Lynx vocal is another feature. My encounter with Stanley's music dates back to when he was with Jeff Beck. Of course, I didn't experience that era in real time, but when I was in high school, I supported a Jeff Beck cover band on keyboards, and the fusion of Jeff Beck's rock and Stanley's funk that I heard back then has remained unforgettable to this day. Recently, Stanley has also been playing bass in a unit with Japanese jazz pianist Hitomi Uehara-san. ====== The imagined artist (not the real its image!) bass: type Stanley Clarke - Slap drum :type Steve Gadd shuffle Guitar: type John McLaughlin keybords: type George Duke guest sax: type maybe David Sanborn ====== The headlights of passing cars illuminating only a small part of a person I search for you in them A beautiful you only know in my dreams Please find me Please find me In the middle of the night While the moonlight still remains
