smash hits [ep5.1]

[project168 - smash hits] [lyrics: russo/peekyblinder(rose&fox)2026] I’m Rose in the room, see the dots all align Fox flipping small thoughts and rhythm's into a gold mine We don’t guess, we design every rhyme, every pause Built a blueprint for the beat, turned a plan into applause writing little diddies on the back of beer mats weaving little stories to a kick, snare and high hat Fox said, "If we ever make it, we can never change" Still the same two fools just tryin'a stay the same Life was quiet, now all of a sudden Everyone's saying, “I knew you’d be someone” Number one got ‘em screaming out my name Same tracks, same bars, but they treat me insane Now Smash Hits wanna do an interview So we're now on the cover staring back at you! You had themes on schemes, I had quotes in my notes You flipped one clever turn into ten sly jokes We weren't chasing any chart, just a spark, just a thought Then the playback hit different, like we knew what we got Every line layered up, like a page of code You debugged every flow, every pattern I wrote Took silence, turned it into how the whole world spoke Now the hook so stuck, it’s an inside joke Life was quiet, now all of a sudden Everyone's saying, “I knew you’d be someone” Number one got ‘em screaming out my name Same tracks, same bars, but they treat me insane Now Smash Hits wanna do an interview So we're now on the cover staring back at you! Two bright young minds makin capsules in time Straddlin' the parallel between space and divine Let me take you on a journey, better close your eyes I've been dreamin' in this dream, it's about time we fly I don't need no broken wings to stop me from this ascension All these pent-up memories, I need a way to vent 'em No choppin' and screwin', we make hits for a livin' And we don't even talk, it's like telekinesis Life was quiet, now all of a sudden Everyone's saying, “I knew you’d be someone” Number one got ‘em screaming out my name Same tracks, same bars, but they treat me insane Now Smash Hits wanna do an interview So we're now on the cover staring back at you!
