CATNADO WEATHER WARNING (LYRA-9 UPGRADE)

Emergency Broadcast Punk / Dub Garage / final alert anthem / 120 BPM

V4.5-ALL

[SCENE — NATIONAL EMERGENCY BROADCAST STATION] [sound design: sirens locked in loop, storm roar under digital distortion, system alarms overlapping]
[Anchor - trying to stay composed]
We are interrupting all programming for an emergency weather bulletin—
[sound cue: static surge]
[Automated System Voice - overriding]
AUTHORITY OVERRIDE ACCEPTED.
[VERSE 1: FEMALE LEAD] They tried to call it wind and rain
But the sky don’t answer to that name
Every map just bends and breaks
Every forecast learns too late
Exit 9 went dark at noon
Some say they heard a distant tune
Like thunder shaped into a sound
That walks instead of pouring down
[PRE-CHORUS: FEMALE LEAD] No more fronts, no more line
Just something moving out of time
[CHORUS: ALL] WEATHER WARNING: LYRA-9 UPGRADE!
Category shift beyond the grade
WEATHER WARNING: LYRA-9 UPGRADE!
Storm no longer behaves the same
WEATHER WARNING: LYRA-9 UPGRADE!
Now it answers when it’s named
And the sky is not contained
[VERSE 2: FORKLIFT OPERATOR] Dispatch said “evacuate zone three”
But the roads looped back in on me
Every exit turned to rain
Like the map forgot its own name
Saw one shape cross the radio mast
Didn’t move slow, didn’t move fast
Just moved like it knew the way
Like it lived here yesterday
[PRE-CHORUS: AI + FEMALE LEAD] [AI - distorted] SYSTEM CLASSIFICATION UPDATED
[FEMALE LEAD] Updated to what?!
[AI] NO LONGER METEOROLOGICAL EVENT
[CHORUS: ALL] WEATHER WARNING: LYRA-9 UPGRADE!
Now the storm has learned its shape
WEATHER WARNING: LYRA-9 UPGRADE!
And nothing moves by mistake
WEATHER WARNING: LYRA-9 UPGRADE!
It remembers every place
It ever touched and stayed
[BRIDGE] [sound cue: emergency tone slows, becomes heartbeat-like]
[Anchor - breaking]
We are being instructed to clarify—
[pause]
[Anchor - voice shaking]
This is no longer a hurricane classification.
[FINAL CHORUS: ALL] WEATHER WARNING: LYRA-9 UPGRADE!
Category Five cannot explain
WEATHER WARNING: LYRA-9 UPGRADE!
Something living in the rain
WEATHER WARNING: LYRA-9 UPGRADE!
And it knows us by name
CATNADO’S COMING AGAIN
[OUTRO] [sound cue: full system failure → radio static → synchronized distant purring]
[Automated System Voice - final]
LYRA-9 STATUS:
NO LONGER TRACKABLE.
[pause]
[System Voice]
IT IS THE WEATHER NOW.
