[Soulful Singing] (Repeat x2)From Hip Hop, Rodney O and  Joe Cooley, to Skid Row, the belly of the beast... His Legacy is still On, just like he never left, he fought against poverty pimping, until his very last breath...Say, YEAAAAH, BOY, As We Remember General Jeff... Say, YEAAAAH, BOY, As We Remember General Jeff...[Women Choir Soulful Singing]General Jeff.. General Jeff.. Verse 3 – Culture, Strategy, and ResistanceHe built not shelters, but places to live,
Where folks had voice and power to give.
“Positive movement” — from clean-ups to sound,
Made Skid Row rise, kept boots on ground.
Led protests for Charly “Africa” slain,
Fought LAPD — called out the pain.
Faced sting ops, never backed down,
Stood in the storm, held his crown.
Painted murals with activist might,
Used art and justice to reignite.
Trust not handouts, but dignity,
Resident-run spaces — unity.
Jobs for locals, trauma-aware,
He planted love right in despair.
His blueprint’s now SRAP code,
Skid Row Action Plan — he wrote the mode.Hook] (x2):

But the Row still echoes his song.
Crocker Care Hub, Safe Landing built,
With his spirit in every tilt.
Chess sets still play in the park,
Street art glowing after dark.
Audrey Chan placed him on train walls,
Skid Row marching through Metro halls.
General Jeff Park is now the name,
Gladys transformed — respect the game,.
Artists, healers, crews unite,
Still walking in his guiding light.
Resident councils, voice and vote,
He turned struggle into hope.
This ain’t goodbye, it’s forward steps,
His playbook's live — no regrets.  [Hook] (x2):
