[Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. - Acts 4:19] I will not back down. I will not blend in. I will not be silent. This is my line in the sand. Greenlight the mockery, stream it on the screen Easiest target in the cultural machine Make 'em a punchline, drag 'em through the mud Count up the clicks for the social media flood But the atmosphere freezes if you state the claim If you stand on the pavement and speak His name They want a hollow shell, want a muted crowd Keep the Gospel in the basement, it's illegal out loud (I will not be silent.) Yeah, they're clearing out the street, setting up the trap Got a warning on the badge, got a zip-tie strap He paid the death penalty, hung on the tree Died for the crimes belonging to me So I don't have to take the hit, I don't have to burn But they look at my knees and they wait for the turn! (I will not be silent.) Arrest the preacher! Clear the zone! Handcuff the witness! Censor the tone! Close your eyes, they call it a crime! (I will not be silent.) CLOSE YOUR EYES, THEY CALL IT A CRIME! i will not be silent. i will not be silent. I will not be silent. I will not be silent. I will not be silent! I will not be silent! I WILL NOT BE SILENT! I WILL NOT BE SILENT! I WILL NOT BACK DOWN! I WILL NOT BLEND IN! I WILL NOT BE SILENT! THIS IS MY LINE IN THE SAND! Thought-police walking on the public square Scanned by the camera for a silent prayer No microphone, no megaphone sound Just a quiet heart standing on the ground But the handcuffs click for the thoughts in your head They're policing the words that you never even said You can stage the theater, you can mock the King But you can't lock the message that the witnesses bring! I WILL NOT BACK DOWN! I WILL NOT BLEND IN! I WILL NOT BE SILENT! THIS IS MY LINE IN THE SAND! Silent prayer. Public square. Handcuffs. I am still speaking.
