This song began with the bluepirnt of a beautiful, emotionally rich lyric by LEEA — a songwriter I’ve always admired. She gave me full freedom to change the lyrics, adapt the writing and structure my syle, and trusted my production no question asked; with one condition: keep it true to the original intent of the lyrics. I approached the process with care and respect for the emotion in her story. I chose a more intimate and minimalist sound to let the words breathe and the melody flow gently. I hope you enjoy this version and that I’ve honored LEEA’s original vision.
