Ridin Glory's Train

[verse 1] If I had one chance To do it over again. This life’s pain and glory How it all begins. Wouldn’t go to school Like hell wouldn’t go to work. Tell that boss to eat dirt Run right off with a Big ol smirk. [verse 2] Instead I’d a hop a rail Forty miles west Fort Des Moines. Find a band of hobos To ride with and join. Spend my days and Nights outdoors. Or with strange girls In the tenderloin. I’ll be… [Chorus] Ridin glory’s train sunshine to rain. Practicin for the day The Good Lord calls Me home to stay. Ridin glory’s train Mountains and fields of grain. No more reason to complain No more livin with this pain. You’ll find me Ridin glory’s train [verse 3] Friends all be askin Are ya gonna be ok? How your lifes a livin Just ain’t the Christian way. I’d shake that dust right off my feet Grab a car on the Rock Island fleet Lean against the rail And sing myself to sleep. I’ll be… [Chorus] Ridin glory’s train sunshine to rain. Practicin for the day The Good Lord calls Me home to stay. Ridin glory’s train Mountains and fields of grain. No more reason to complain No more livin with this pain. You’ll find me Ridin glory’s train [banjo solo] [conclusion] When the last stops finally here When heaven’s gates are near Lost my last piece of fear Till the Good Lord pulls the switch-out I’ll be dealing with my doubts Ridin that old rail, heading north and south. I’ll be [Chorus] Ridin glory’s train sunshine to rain. Practicin for the day The Good Lord calls Me home to stay. Ridin glory’s train Mountains and fields of grain. No more reason to complain No more livin with this pain. You’ll find me Ridin glory’s train Ridin Glory’s Train! Riding Glory’s train
