[Verse] Evil thoughts, adultery, Sexual immorality. Murder, theft, and greed, Envy and deceit. Slander, pride, Fool, lewd, vile ways. [Chorus] Outa the heart, outa the heart, That’s where the trouble starts. What comes out reveals What’s hidden in the dark. I can wash these hands, But You know where they’ve been. It’s what comes outa the heart that makes the man. [Verse — repeat] Evil thoughts, adultery, Sexual immorality. [Bridge] Before I point at someone else, Lord, let Your light shine into me. Search the places I keep hidden, Show me what I need to see. Jesus, hear my confession, Wash what only You can see. Create in me a clean heart, Let Your love flow out of me. [Final Chorus] Outa the heart, outa the heart, Lord, that’s where You must start. Let Your mercy reach What’s hidden in the dark. More than washed-up hands, I need You deep within. Jesus, make this heart clean— Let Your love come out again. [Outro] Outa the heart… Lord, make this heart clean.
