I walked up to the mirror, And a woman looked back at me, A woman with wrinkles on her face, Silver strands scattered like snow. So many years have passed me by, And now there’s nowhere left to rush. How many hard roads have I walked, How many meetings, how many goodbyes. I laughed, and I cried as well, The years flew by like a single day, They flew away, and won’t come back. But in the mirror, I still see myself, The girl who once had dreams, Who ran, who loved, who suffered. She never really left, She simply grew older. Let the wrinkles show upon my face, Let silver shine within my hair, I’m still that same young girl Who knows how to live. I look at myself and wonder How much I have left behind. How many times I wanted to give up, How many times I started over from nothing. But I’m still here, I’m breathing, And my heart is still beating. So it’s too early to say goodbye, My life is still going on. But in the mirror, I still see myself, The girl who once had dreams. She may have grown a little older, But she never stopped believing. Let the wrinkles show upon my face, Let silver shine within my hair, I’m still that same young girl, And there is still life in my eyes. The years are gone, they won’t return, But I don’t want to regret them. Every pain has taught me To love more and to see more deeply, To look at this world, at the morning light, At the people who stayed beside me. I look into my old mirror And smile at the woman I have become. I’m still the same, That girl is still inside of me. Let the years keep running, I still have somewhere to go. These wrinkles are not old age, They are the memories of my life. This silver in my hair Is made of all the years I’ve lived. I’m still that woman, I’m still that girl, I am alive. And I still know how to love. ❤️🎵
