Verse 1 She sits on the edge of everything, not quite here, not quite gone. The world moves on, as if she still belonged to it, but she feels only like a shadow of it. The days drift by, weightless, meaningless. And every time she rises, it feels like a mistake she keeps repeating. Verse 2 So often she has been on the verge of leaving, truly leaving. Not loudly, not dramatically. Just quietly disappearing, leaving no trace behind. And every time she asks herself: What keeps me here? And every time there is no answer. Chorus I stand between staying and disappearing, between a breath and no more breath. I don't know where I belong, only that I don't want to be here anymore. I am so tired of feeling, so empty from hoping, so heavy from carrying on. And I wonder how long a heart can keep beating like this, when nothing holds it anymore. Verse 3 She looks in the mirror and sees someone she wouldn't save. Someone she gave up on long ago. The thoughts come quietly, sit down beside her, simply stay there. And eventually, they don't feel wrong anymore. Verse 4 It is no longer a loud pain. No chaos. Just a deep, quiet emptiness. Like a room without doors. And there she sits, no longer waiting for a tomorrow she doesn't believe in. Chorus I stand between staying and disappearing, and nothing pulls me back. No promise, no voice, no reason loud enough to hold me fast. I am still breathing, but I don't feel it anymore. Every breath is just habit, no wish, no will. I wonder what it would be like if everything simply went quiet. No more thinking, no more feeling, no more "me." And perhaps that is the worst part of it: That this thought no longer feels wrong. Bridge She isn't angry. Not loud. Not broken enough for anyone to notice. Just tired. So tired that even hope takes too much energy. Outro She is still sitting there. Between two worlds. Between one heartbeat and the next. And no one sees how close she is to simply stopping— to going on. (She doesn't want to anymore) (mhm, ah)
