Bronx First-Day

Heard on the news today another black teen lost their way, the teen fleeing the scene, was shot and killed by a white officer in the Bronx his first day. Why do they have to mention the color of the skin? Who cares if it was a black boy or a white officer, it was a boy that was taken from his family, it was the loss that a mother will always feel, it was the sadness of the community that surrounded him. Or it was an officer who shot the boy who now will live his life full of regret, taking a life that was too soon for him to do. His job required him to restrain but not to take a life, especially a young boy who didn't have a weapon, was running from the scene, and wound up not even being the suspect of the incident that occurred—an innocent life. Why did the officer assume it was this young man? Could it have been because of the color of the skin? Did the caller say it was a black man or did they say it was a young man? Did the officer even know? , I cant understand. But any other given time why do they have to mention the color of the skin? Why does it matter when did it all begin? They segregated the colored man and enslaved and held them at bay. Once they gained their freedom, they had to fight to keep it and they were always put in their place. Many centuries ago this occurred, yet in today's society in 2026 this segregation is always on the black man's mind, with the horrors of their distant past creeping around every corner, every street. No wonder they feel such defeat. Then the racist stares of the white man that feel like a burning reminder and leave a chill. How will the two get past what occurred many centuries ago? If there are people who keep the legacy of segregation going, then segregation will keep showing its ugly face in every generation in this nation until the end of existence as life must end. Let go of the hate, the white racist debate. Let go of the black judgments and let each man live as they can, to gain their wealth, to lose, to live, to love. Let us live as one people under God, created by him. I'm sorry for the way the segregation is still here today. In my mind we are all human, just colors of the wind. I'd give my last dollar to any one in need, so let me begin by saying hello, can I be your friend
