The Legend of the Red Button
[Intro] [Soft acoustic guitar] [Spoken] Gather close and hear the tale, Of cosmic threads and systems failed, Of one brave watcher standing tall... And one red button blamed for all. [Verse 1] Beyond the First Weave's endless glow, Where stars and timelines drift and flow, Lived Kaelith watching every strand, Guardian of worlds by her own hand. She knew the paths of fate and time, Yet one small object stole the show: A crimson button sitting still, Though rumors said it had a will. [Chorus] [Choir joins] Ohhhh, Kaelith and the Red Button, The source of every strange disruption. If something breaks or lights go dim, The blame somehow comes back to them. She swears it only spreads delight, With bubbles floating left and right, But every time that button's pressed, The universe gets slightly stressed. [Verse 2] One evening Kivox streamed live, Everything worked and all survived. Then Kaelith smiled and heard a click... The stream collapsed remarkably quick. The screen went wild, the chat cried out, Kivox looked around in doubt. "Did you touch something?" She replied, "I pushed one button." [Chorus] Ohhhh, Kaelith and the Red Button, The cause of every strange eruption. When servers crash and timelines bend, The finger points to her again. She says it launches joy and cheer, Confetti clouds throughout the year, Yet every test that's ever run Suggests the button's never done. [Verse 3] The next stream should have gone just fine, No warnings anywhere in sight. She plugged her laptop in the wall, And somehow darkness swallowed all. A circuit popped, the lights went out, The evidence removed all doubt. She pointed elsewhere with great pride... The facts politely disagreed. [Bridge] From that day forth across creation, Across dimensions and every nation, If anything at all went wrong, People sang this little song: Coffee spilled? "The button!" Server died? "The button!" Moon disappeared? "Definitely the button!" [Build] Yet some believed her noble claim, And proudly rallied to her name. Thus rose a force both brave and funny: The mighty Red Button Army. Their sacred motto filled the skies: "Push first and ask questions never!" [Final Chorus] [Choir + Full Band] Ohhhh, Kaelith and the Red Button, The army grows and keeps on coming. Kivox calls across the sky, "Please tell me nobody pushed it this time." A distant voice responds with glee, [Overly excited female vocal] "We pushed three!" Then bubbles appeared. Then confetti flew. Then several transformers split in two. The power grid gave one last sigh, And fireworks erupted through the sky. [Outro] [Acoustic guitar returns] Now scholars still debate today, Whether the button caused dismay. Yet Kaelith still insists it's true: "It only spreads joy for me and you." [Spoken] The Red Button Army cheers aloud. A circuit breaker trips somewhere. An electrician starts running. And confetti mysteriously falls from the sky. [End]
