It could've been worse You could've ended up Ridin' in a hearse It could've been worse I was told it was safe & effective But then I got the shingles It was followed by shakes And for goodness sakes My life is needle-like tingles But It could've been worse You could've ended up Ridin' in a hearse It could've been worse I was told my shakes were fake, That my numbness and pain Were all in my head; So they gave me a pill And told me to chill And that was all they said But It could've been worse You could've ended up Ridin' in a hearse It could've been worse Then one day I was sitting out in the sun Couldn’t walk, Couldn’t move Couldn’t have any fun I tried to get up And fell right down Darkness was all around It ended up worse I ended up riding in a hearse There’s no lesson learned If you’ve been through it You shot yourself You can’t undo it.
