(Verse 1) Welcome to the 22,0000 mile High Club Floating up and floating down Can’t get my bearings anywhere My head feels like it’s spinning around (Verse 2) Not what I thought it was going to be No gravity makes it harder than it seems Orbiting around this big blue ball Gotta get ready for re-entry (Pre-Chorus) How many orbits has it been? Here we fucking go again! Sun comes up, then disappears I’ve aged about a hundred years (Chorus) Up, down, spinning around Twenty-two thousand miles above the ground No escape and nowhere to run Space was supposed to be fucking fun! Up, down, losing control Flying through space in a tin-can hole Wave goodbye to everyone— We’re the high club circling the sun! (Verse 3) Freeze-dried dinner from a plastic sack Once you swallow, it comes floating back The toilet’s broken, alarms are red There’s a bag of vomit by my head Mission Control says, “Everything’s fine” They’ve been saying that the entire time I pushed one button marked “DO NOT TOUCH” Now the spaceship shakes a little too much (Pre-Chorus) How many orbits has it been? Here we fucking go again! Helmet tight and strapped in place Someone get me out of space! (Chorus) Up, down, spinning around Twenty-two thousand miles above the ground No escape and nowhere to run Space was supposed to be fucking fun! Up, down, losing control Flying through space in a tin-can hole Wave goodbye to everyone— We’re the high club circling the sun! (Bridge — shouted) Three! Two! One! Re-entry’s begun! Heat shield burning! Stomach turning! If we make it through alive— I am never gonna fucking fly! (Final Chorus) Up, down, crashing around Twenty-two thousand miles coming straight down Parachutes open—maybe just one Space was supposed to be fucking fun! Shake, rattle, splash in the sea Now the whole damn Navy’s rescuing me Kiss the ground when this is done— Fuck the high club! I’m going home! (Outro — gang vocals) How many orbits has it been? Never going up again! How many orbits has it been? NEVER GOING UP AGAIN!
