Closer and closer

I was born in a world full of darkness I can hear them coming closer and closer A tiny speck of light in the darkness A tiny little speck of light in the darkness Closer… Closer… Closer… I can hear them coming closer and closer [whispered vocals] Closer I can hear them coming closer and closer [whispered vocals] Closer I can hear them coming closer and closer [whispered vocals] Closer I can hear them coming closer and closer [whispered vocals] Closer Now I feel them moving under the surface Like shadows breathing closer and closer Still there’s a tiny light in the darkness A tiny little light that refuses to disappear Closer… Closer… Closer… I can feel them coming closer and closer [whispered vocals] Closer I can feel them coming closer and closer [whispered vocals] Closer I can feel them coming closer and closer [whispered vocals] Closer I can feel them coming closer and closer [whispered vocals] Closer No faces No names Only footsteps in the dark And somewhere inside me That tiny light Still burns I can feel them coming closer and closer [whispered vocals] Closer I can feel them coming closer and closer [whispered vocals] Closer Closer Closer Closer Closer Born in a world full of darkness I can feel them coming closer and closer A tiny speck of light in the darkness A tiny little speck of light… Closer… [Lyrics © 2026 Maksim Skarakhod aka Max Fortado]
