I heard about this Doc. I wonder who he is. They say he keeps a shelf of little glass things. I'm hoping he has one for my heart. Or a new one, if it comes to that. All these people spinning around. They make me dizzy. Why do they talk like this? And what's with all this yellow light? The halls go on, and I follow the hum. Who built them this wide? The lights are still on. Nobody's outside. I keep turning corners I've turned before. Is the green there to guide me? Or is the green just there? My heart's gone restless. I know this sound from somewhere. The hum is starting to feel like home. WHY AM I SLOWING DOWN? HE TOLD ME ABOUT THE DOOR. HE TOLD ME AGAIN. WHERE IS IT? Why does he care that I know? How do I leave the hurting behind? How do I reach back? Somebody's counting the days. Somebody's keeping the chart. I read the notes. I stayed to hear. I asked him twice. WHY AM I STILL HERE? WHY AM I STILL HERE? WHY AM I STILL HERE? Why am I still here? That was my heart. That was the sound of it going out. Who's asking now? There's nobody left to ask. Stay. HERE! Stay. Here.
