Today is not my day, everything feels wrong, Since the morning came, the light feels too long. No motivation left, I don’t want to move, Just staring at the ceiling, nothing left to prove. The world keeps turning, but I’m frozen still, Every breath is heavy, every thought is ill. People say “tomorrow will be fine”, But right now tomorrow feels like another lie. I don’t want your comfort, I don’t want a smile, I just want this emptiness to leave me for a while. Today is not my day, I fall apart, I break. No silver lining, no fake pass, Just heavy silence and an empty glass. Today is not my day… I’m so damn tired, Of pretending I’m strong when I’m this uninspired. Let me drown a little, let me feel the grey, Today is not my day… and that’s okay. The coffee’s cold, the music’s flat, Even the silence feels like an attack. I scroll through memories like they belong to someone else, Wondering why I’m still here when I don’t want to be myself. Everything I touch just turns to dust, Every plan I make just fills me with disgust. I’m not asking for the sun, just a little air, But even breathing feels too heavy to bear. Today is not my day, I fall apart, I break. No silver lining, no fake pass, Just heavy silence and an empty glass. Today is not my day… I’m so damn tired, Of pretending I’m okay when I’m this uninspired. Let me drown a little, let me feel the grey, Today is not my day… and that’s okay. I don’t need to be strong right now, I don’t need to fix a thing. I just need to sit here in the dark, And let the sadness have its sting… Today is not my day… And maybe that’s alright. I’m allowed to be broken, I’m allowed to lose the fight. Today is not my day… And I’m learning how to stay, Even when the light feels far away. Today is not my day… And that’s okay… Today is not my day…
