The great blue ocean, ya she’s quite the beaut The waves sure are exciting, I think I’ll put on my suit I dip in a toe, she whispers, “Come on in” The allure on the surface hides what's lurking deep within She's relentless, It's never just a stroll But looking at her has taken it’s toll Oh she’s a tidal wave No, you can’t look away She’ll sweep you off your feet and cast you out to sea. I’m out in the heat and I’d like to take a dip I’m dying of thirst and I just want a little sip What’s there to lose?, she looks so appealing I’m diving head first, right past the uneasy feeling too salty for drinking, too cold to have fun Too deep to keep from sinking, Too powerful to outrun Oh she’s a tidal wave No, you can’t look away She’ll sweep you off your feet and cast you out to sea. The tide is pulling harder, I can barely find the ground The waves are crashing over, I can’t tell which way is down I thought I’d ride the current, thought I’d keep it light and breezy But now I’m caught beneath her, and breathing isn’t easy She’s churning, I’m drowning, I drink it down and gag. But I’m a dog, you know, Can’t help myself from coming back Oh she’s a tidal wave No, you can’t look away She’ll sweep you off your feet and cast you out to sea. Oh Like a tidal wave No, I can’t escape I thought she had what I need And then she spat me out to sea Like a tidal wave Oh a tidal wave
