Introducing Jingles McFizzleboon and his wife Betty Boomstick to the Tinkertune Tavern. Jingles McFizzleboom is a wild-eyed goblin inventor whose creations explode as often as they function, yet somehow, the Tinkertune Tavern still lets him tinker (mostly because it's hilarious). His wife, Betty Boomstick, a retired alchemist-turned-tavern chef, insists that cooking and potion-making are basically the same thing—which explains why half her stews bubble ominously before being served. Despite the occasional minor explosion, accidental transformation, or bowl of soup developing legs, her food is shockingly delicious and keeps the tavern packed every night. Jingles is always testing some new "improvement" in the kitchen, which usually ends in fire, a new hole in the roof, and Betty chasing him with a ladle. But at the end of the day, their culinary chaos is part of the tavern’s charm, and no one leaves hungry—just slightly singed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Verse 1] Oh, Jingles McFizzleboom was born with a wrench, (a wrench!) His hands built gadgets with a goblin’s stench! (stench!) He swore he’d change the world one day, But everything he made went up in flames! He built a machine that could serve up beer— (Pour it right here!) But it launched a keg through the chandelier! (DUCK!) The barkeep roared, the patrons fled, While Jingles just scratched his head and said— [Chorus - Big, stomping, rowdy singalong!] Hey-ho!... Mind the BOOM! Jingles and Betty will shake the room! One stirs soup, one sparks doom, So clear the way—there’s fire in the flume! [Verse 2] Now Betty Boomstick, his darling wife, (Darling wife!) She once brewed potions, now she brews your life! (Eat it up!) She stirs her cauldron, thick and hot, With a pinch of pepper and a whole lotta shock! A man once asked, "What’s in this stew?" (What’s in this stew?) She grinned and said, "It’s a mystery, too!" (Oh NO!... NO!..) It bubbled, it fizzed, it burst in the air, And grew three legs right then and there! [Chorus - Tavern shaking, mugs slamming!] Hey-ho!... Mind the BOOM! Jingles and Betty’ll shake the room! One stirs soup, one sparks doom, So clear the way—there’s fire in the flume! [Bridge - Music slows - dramatic spoken section] [Jingles - spoken voice] "Betty, what in blazes did ye put in me soup?!" (Betty - spoken voice) "A touch o’ goblin root and a wee bit of spark powder!" [Jingles spoken voice] "Spark Powder?! That’s fer Fireworks, ye daft goblin-brained turnip!" [Sir Spoonsworth vocals and coughing] "By the Saints, Me armour has been seasoned!" [Grumbles McMugwort spoken voice] "Aye..., finally! A stew with some proper KICK!..." [Duelling fiddles and lutes launch back into full speed!] [Verse 3] Now the Tinkertune’s standing, (Barely so!) Though half the roof’s still smoking below! (smoking below!) Yet no one leaves, oh no my friend! For a night with Jingles is a night well spent! So grab your glass, let’s drink a toast, (a toast!) To the craziest couple who haunt this post! (this post!) And if yer stew starts bubbling too… Just RUN—’cause Betty’s brewin’ somethin’ new! [Final Chorus - Absolute chaos, tavern in full roar!] Hey-ho!... Mind the BOOM! Jingles and Betty’ll shake the room! One stirs soup, one sparks doom, So clear the way—there’s fire in the flume! Hey-ho! Cheers to you! If yer still standin’, have a brew! The Tinkertune lives through blast and flame, And we’ll do it ALL AGAIN! [Male voice spoken loudly] "OH BETTY!!!"
