V5

(Verse 1) When God had made the heaven and the earth, The world was full of beauty's worth. He fashioned man in His own image, fair, And named him Adam, breathed life's gentle air. Adam lived nine hundred thirty years that day, Seth was born to ease his decay. Seth walked with God, nine hundred twelve score years, Until he, too, left the earthly sphere. (Chorus) Oh, the span of life, like a fleeting breath, Each generation moves on to death. Yet in their offspring's eyes we see, The echo of eternity. (Verse 2) Enosh was born to Seth's loving care, Lived nine hundred five years fair. Then Methuselah came, the longest lived of all, Nine hundred sixty-nine years he did recall. Enoch walked with God, never tasted death, For God took him up to His final breath. Methuselah's son, Lamech, was named, Lived seven hundred seventy-seven years, famed. (Chorus) Oh, the span of life, like a fleeting sigh, Each parent's love as their child says goodbye. Yet in the legacy of time we find, The enduring bond of humankind. (Verse 3) Noah walked with God, righteous and true, For nine hundred fifty years, he saw life renew. His sons were born: Shem, Ham, and Japhet. Each carries hope from which all faith is claimed. When the world's wickedness had reached its peak, God judged it with a catastrophic streak. But through Noah's faith and bold obedience, A new beginning on earth was told. (Outro) In every generation, both past and present, We see the pattern of life, death, and repentance.
