Verse 1 We've had presidents and leaders, a dedicated crew, Working for the woodlands, it's what they love to do. From K.C. VanNatta to Lee Hunt's big heart, Protecting our forests, right from the start. Chorus The Oregon Small Woodlands Association, a joyful sound, With fiddles and banjos, all around. We'll sing and dance, and celebrate the trees, The legacy of leaders, carried on the breeze. Verse 2 Bob Kintigh and Robert Mealey, planting seeds of green, Wendell Harmon and Mark Havel, the best we've ever seen. With axes and chainsaws, with arches and with saws, They've built a legacy, with nature's laws. Chorus The Oregon Small Woodlands Association, a joyful sound, With fiddles and banjos, all around. We'll sing and dance, and celebrate the trees, The legacy of leaders, carried on the breeze. Bridge So raise a glass to the fallen few, Their memory lives on, in all we do. The Oregon Small Woodlands Association, forever strong, In every tree, their spirit lives on. Chorus The Oregon Small Woodlands Association, a joyful sound, With fiddles and banjos, all around. We'll sing and dance, and celebrate the trees, The legacy of leaders, carried on the breeze.
