[Verse 1] She keeps a suitcase by the door Just in case it’s time to run Hand-me-down hopes on the floor Writing wishes to the setting sun Tired of almost Tired of “maybe” Every promise fades to gray Still she circles hearts on napkins Dreaming someone’s gonna stay [Chorus] So she chases every rainbow in the sky Heart in her hands Head held high Looking for a love that doesn’t fold And a pot of gold She’s been running down the colors through the rain Laughing through a little bit of pain One day she’ll be the story that she’s told With her true love And a pot of gold [Verse 2] Her friends say “slow down You’re too much” She just smiles and pours the wine Says “I’d rather feel it all at once Than live my life stuck in a line” She’s kissed a few frogs on the roadside Learned the hard way how to fall But every crack inside her mirror Lets the sunlight through the wall [Chorus] So she chases every rainbow in the sky Heart in her hands Head held high Looking for a love that doesn’t fold And a pot of gold She’s been running down the colors through the rain Laughing through a little bit of pain One day she’ll be the story that she’s told With her true love And a pot of gold [Bridge] What if the treasure Is the girl she’s grown to be What if the ending Has been walking in her feet Then you show up In the middle of the storm Say “you’re the wish I didn’t know I was wishing for” [Chorus] Now you’re chasing every rainbow by her side Hand in her hand Matching strides You’re the kind of love that doesn’t fold You’re her pot of gold You’ve been running through the colors Through the rain Turning every little ache into a flame Now she’s finally the story that she’s told With her true love And a pot of gold
