Where I’m going

Verse 1 There’s a sound— like something snapping wrong. The world tilts. The floor is gone. Pain flares bright and then it’s not, Like a candle blown out mid-thought. I try to breathe. I don’t. I try to move. I can’t. Pre-Chorus This wasn’t how I thought it would end. I didn’t finish— I— Chorus Everything goes quiet all at once, Too fast to scream, too fast to run. The noise, the crowd, the burning light— All of it slips out of sight. I don’t feel brave. I don’t feel strong. I don’t feel anything for long. ⸻ Verse 2 There’s darkness—but it’s not empty. It presses close, like held breath. I think this must be dying. I think this must be death. But something pulls—not hard, not loud, Just steady as a thread unwound. Like night without the fear of it. Like standing still and being known. Pre-Chorus I don’t see him. I don’t hear his name. But something says don’t go yet. Chorus There’s a voice I can’t quite place, Low and urgent in the space. It doesn’t promise. It doesn’t plead. It just says, stay with me. I don’t know why that feels like truth. I don’t know why I listen too. ⸻ Bridge (Canon Moment) Hands on me— not touching skin. A presence wrapped around what’s left within. Don’t let go. Not yet. I didn’t know home could sound like this. ⸻ Final Chorus (Very Soft, Suspended) If this is death, it’s not alone. If this is night, it feels like bones finally set, finally still, finally not having to will myself to breathe, to fight, to stay— Someone is here. So I stay. ⸻ Outro I fall— but not away. I fall into something that knows my name.
