Softly, Little Star (Leise, kleiner Stern) Full English Translation

[Verse 1] Fall asleep My little wonder The moon looks silently through the room Your little bear holds your hand And everything becomes Just as you want it to be [Chorus] Softly Little star Sleep in my arm I am here Very close Watching over you Softly Little star Dream your way into the day I am here Very close Until the morning smiles upon you [Verse 2] Outside the wind goes for a walk He sings you his greeting softly In here, Mama counts your breaths Until you let go Breath by breath [Bridge] If you briefly open your eyes And look for my voice I am here My heart Quite certain Until the night kisses you again
