[Verse] He walked right in my door at night With this wounded man held tight He said he'd found him on the road And the love he showed him overflowed [Verse 2] He paid for rooms he paid for care Said treat this man as if he’s rare A stranger kind and giving still A heart that climbs the highest hill [Chorus] Oh the love he showed it shone so bright In the darkest hour in the deepest night He healed the wounded soul's despair In his actions love was everywhere [Verse 3] Not the same not from his land Yet he reached out with a gentle hand His story's clear for all to see God's love is boundless wandering free [Bridge] Through darkness where shadows creep He gave hope so strong and deep No judgment there no strife endured In his care the hurt was cured [Chorus] Oh the love he showed it shone so bright In the darkest hour in the deepest night He healed the wounded soul's despair In his actions love was everywhere
