He always comes back

[Intro] They dug this place up from the ashes of something people wanted to forget. Thirty years of dust and rumors packed into a cheap haunted house. The management told me it’s all just atmosphere, flashy lights and spooky props. But the air in here is heavy, and I swear I can hear something breathing down the hall. [Verse 1] I’m staring at this maintenance panel more than the actual cameras. Video error. Audio error. Ventilation error. It’s a joke. Every time I fix one thing, something else trips and the red light starts flashing. It’s getting hot in here, like the oxygen is being sucked right out of the room. I keep seeing things in the corner of my eye, shadows that shouldn't be there. [Pre-Chorus] There's a static buzzing in my ears that won't go away. I play the audio clip in the other room just to keep him moving. Hoping that little laugh is enough to distract whatever that thing is. Because looking at him on the monitor makes my stomach turn over. He moves too smooth for a robot, way too deliberate for a machine. [Chorus] We are burning up inside this metal box and there’s nowhere to run. The yellow rabbit is standing in the window staring right through me. I can see the rot underneath the suit, the history staining the floor. This isn't a game anymore, it feels like a cage match with a ghost. They wanted to bring the horror back to life, well, congratulations. [Verse 2] My vision is swimming, fading in and out of black. I see the fox, the bear, the puppet, but they aren't real, are they? Just burnt hallucinations caused by the lack of air in these vents. But the alarm is blaring and my fingers are slipping off the reboot button. I have to keep the systems online or I’m going to pass out right here. [Pre-Chorus] He knows where I am, I can hear the heavy footsteps on the tile. I check the vent cams, sealing the shafts, praying I was fast enough. It’s a game of cat and mouse but the mouse is stuck in a trap. I’m just trying to make it to six without losing my mind completely. Every second feels like an hour when you're waiting for the jump. [Instrumental Break] [Bridge] I saw his eyes when he leaned into the office light. Those weren't plastic eyes, they looked wet and human and angry. There is a corpse inside that suit, I know what I saw. He always comes back, that’s what the old tapes said, isn't it? And now I’m the only thing standing between him and the exit. [Guitar Solo] [Verse 3] The smell of gasoline is starting to mix with the smell of mold. Maybe the only way to end this is to burn it all to the ground. Let the sparks from the faulty wiring do what needs to be done. I’m not getting paid enough to die in a security guard uniform. If he wants to stay here forever, maybe I should let him. [Outro] The smoke is getting thick now, alarms are finally ringing for real. I’m out the door and I’m not looking back at the wreckage. Let it burn, let the whole twisted legacy turn into ash. But I have a feeling even the fire won't be enough to kill him. He always comes back.
