Whether we want it or we don’t Whether we will or maybe won't Each of us has a glass of time Where minutes fall and bells will chime Our days are numbered, one by one Until our certain time is done. We want to turn the glass around To bring back time from underground But we are not allowed to stay So I have just one thing to say: Are there borders in heaven? When we are gone, we’ll leave a trace Upon this land, this earthly space But when we reach the sky above We’ll see the truth of light and love: No Borders In Heaven. We feel so sad and so alone When a loved one’s time is finally gone We find no place to rest our mind Except the hope that we might find A place with no borders, no more walls To meet again when heaven calls And never part again. Perhaps when we meet there, we will be reborn. And together, we will set out on a journey once again. When the clock begins to fade The colors of the world we made For those who still have time to spend They lose their light, they start to bend Turning to grey where flowers grew The world is cold and lonely too. When my own time finally ends And the last grain of sand descends I’ll be ready to see it’s true: No Borders In Heaven for me and you. Reaching heaven, I’ll surely smile Seeing those I’ve missed a while Who left before and waited there To see me breathe the holy air This moment is my eternity Hoping fate gives us a chance to be... Reborn again. And if destiny gives us one more try We’ll take that chance across the sky We’ll promise that in the life anew The things we failed to ever do We’ll make them better, bright and grand Painting beauty across our new land.
