Immediately you shall pass into glory, and immediately you shall go into eternal life, from which there is no more departure. But now, do not reveal this mystery to those who cannot bear it, lest they sin against their neighbor. [Chorus 1] Their works will be evil, and they will be against one another. When they hear of punishment by flames of fire, they will kill one another and do injustice to one another. [Verse 2] When these sinners hear this, after committing sins, assured that they will find mercy, none of the sinners who have heard and understood will practice good or repentance. Therefore I forbade you to reveal it to all sinners, lest they sin against their neighbor. [Chorus 2] If you had not wept and cried out, I would not have revealed this to you. I revealed it to you so that hope would not fail you. But you yourself, begin by giving repentance to sinners. [Bridge] Warn them by the punishment of the flames of fire, that they may fear and practice righteousness, that they may not do injustice to one another, nor violence to the widow and the orphan in their need. [Chorus 3] Concerning our mercy, hear what I shall reveal to you that will convince you. A woman adorns a vessel, the work of her hands, or a potter adorns a vessel, his own work. While he adorns it and covers it with clay, the potter breaks the vessel. He desired to make it a beautiful work for glory, pure and without break or crack. He intended it to become a vessel for oil, or a vessel for wine, or a vessel for honey. But when it is rejected, or broken, or cracked, does he not return it to the clay? He kneads it, breaks it again, and begins to form it anew.
