In the heart of Hawaii, where the wild winds play, I arrived with shadows, clouds of gray, Heavy my spirit, with burdens untold, Seeking the warmth, but feeling the cold. Through jungles I wandered, where whispers entwine, In the depths of the green, I sought a sign. An abandoned home, where the past still lingers, I stepped through the threshold, felt a change in my fingers. From the stillness emerged, a dance of pure light, Male and female energies, swirling in flight. They twined with our spirits, both tender and bold, Binding our hearts with stories of old. I rushed to my uncle, with a heart full of fear, “Something has shifted; the shadows draw near.” His voice, like the ocean, calmed my wild soul, “Take olive oil, dear; let your spirit be whole.” A spoonful of blessing, as he prayed from afar, My right hand grew warm like a flickering star. With faith in the moment, I drank in the grace, Healing washed over us, like the sun’s warm embrace. The mana of Hawaii, vibrant and true, Cleansed the dark echoes, and birthed something new. Together, my daughter and I felt the release, In the land of the spirits, we found our peace. Now the jungles sing songs of love and light, No longer shrouded in the shadow of night. For in the embrace of this island so grand, We learned to let go, and to heal hand in hand.
