Inspired by my poem: "na veia", read this and other poems at olhoabsurdo.blogspot.com [Verse 1] In my veins, I lost the signal in the middle of nowhere, And the vain struggles are shallow battles. They outline the pain that consumes me: Who is on the outside, if everything is inside? [Chorus] The war is in the soul, Incarnated in the fickle core. I pretend I never think about the desecration But it dwells within my Midas touch I am the malice, the pain, and the despair [Verse 2] And not everyone stopped fighting I try to deceive myself in defeat I was conceived to win But I lose myself, I overdo it For I was built this way [Bridge] I had never thought about it, About how much it guides and steers me... I am a child of chaos, Breastfed by violence. [Chorus] The war is in the soul, Incarnated in the fickle core. I pretend I never think about the desecration, But it dwells within my Midas touch. I am the malice, the pain, and the despair.
