[Intro — Bright Chiming Guitar, Bouncy Drums] [Verse 1] Phone on five percent Shoes by the door You said we’d stay in We’ve said that before Sun through the curtains Half past ten Someone sends a message And we’re out again No plan worth keeping No reason to rush Just enough money And far too much trust [Pre-Chorus] By the time the evening starts We’ve already changed our minds [Chorus] It’s Saturday again And nobody’s going home Saturday again Half the night still left to go We’ll miss the last train Laugh about it then Say we’re taking it easy Next Saturday again Saturday again [Verse 2] Cheap sunglasses Warm pavement heat Music from a window Somewhere down the street You know that shortcut That never saves time We take it anyway Like we always do Someone knows a place Someone knows a mate Someone says “one drink” At quarter past eight [Pre-Chorus] By the time the evening starts We’ve already changed our minds [Chorus] It’s Saturday again And nobody’s going home Saturday again Half the night still left to go We’ll miss the last train Laugh about it then Say we’re taking it easy Next Saturday again Saturday again [Instrumental — Bright Guitar Hook, Loose Drums] [Bridge] Sunday can wait We’ve got hours to waste Nothing important Needs doing today No grand occasion No reason to dress Just one of those nights That somehow ends up the best [Final Chorus — Full Band, Loose and Bright] It’s Saturday again And nobody’s going home Saturday again Half the night still left to go We’ll miss the last train Laugh about it then Say we’re taking it easy Next Saturday again Saturday again Saturday again [Outro] Next Saturday again
