Balthazar With That Myrrh

Verse 1 Ridin’ through the desert, star up high in the sky, Got my robe and my crown, and a gift by my side. Melchior got the gold, Caspar got the scent, But I’m bringin’ somethin’ deeper, heaven-sent. Chorus 🎶 Balthazar with that myrrh, yeah, he came so far, From the land where the sun paints the night with stars. He knelt on the straw, said, “This child’s the Word,” That soulful king, Balthazar with that myrrh. 🎶 Verse 2 Camels swayin’ to a backbeat slow, Tambourines jinglin’ in the midnight glow. Mary smiled when I laid it down, Said, “You done brought peace to this holy town.” Chorus 🎶 Balthazar with that myrrh, yeah, he came so far, From the land where the drums talk to the stars. He bowed his head, said, “The truth’s been heard,” That righteous king, Balthazar with that myrrh. 🎶 Bridge (Spoken like Isaac Hayes or Curtis Mayfield) Mmm, see… gold’ll fade, and incense’ll burn, But myrrh, that’s the love that helps your soul return. So when you feel lost, don’t you forget that night— The brother brought myrrh to make the wrong things right. Final Chorus 🎶 Balthazar with that myrrh, yeah, he came so far, With a gift for the King under Bethlehem’s star. A soul so pure, you could feel the word— That holy groove… Balthazar with that myrrh. 🎶 Outro (fade out) “Keep on bringin’ your gifts, y’all… Gold may shine, but love endures…” (horns fade, bass walks out like a warm December night)
