[Verse 1] Adam and Eve together lived No pain, no hunger, death or fear The beasts would serve, the trees would give The fruit of Eden, bright and clear [Pre-Chorus] And in the sky so pure, so blue Where sunlight touched the strings of noon The holy bird sang high and true The prophet bird, Gamayun [Chorus] O Father ours, who reigns above Source of all life, on land and sea Bearer of light and endless love Thy kingdom come, eternally [Verse 2] One fateful day when sunlight shone Upon the rippling shining tide Fairy was tempted, all alone By a serpent's voice that softly lied She turned to Adam, eyes aflame And raised the fruit for him to see This holds on knowledge, strength and fame We shall be gods as he shall be [Chorus] O Father ours, who reigns above Source of all life, on land and sea Bearer of light and endless love Thy kingdom come, eternally [Bridge] Take the fruit and taste the light Leave behind the veil of night Can we touch what he forbade? Can we break the law he made? We shall know what gods have known Yet this path we walk alone Take my hand and take the fruit I can hear his voice grow mute Knowledge waits beyond this tree What will this knowledge make of me? Come and taste, the choices are Then let fate decide our call [Verse 3] [Instrumental] [Chorus] O Father ours, who reigns above Source of all life, on land and sea Bearer of light and endless love Thy kingdom come, eternally [Outro] Grant us our bread for days to come Thy kingdom come, eternally
