The coyotes sneaked into the fair And mixed-up words everywhere! “Sea” and “see” switched all around. “Noisy homophones!” yelled a hound. “See with your eyes, Sea has waves, Same sound — Different ways!” Then words crashed together with a POP! Cup + cake = cupcake shop! Sun + flower = sunflower too! The goats shouted, “We know what to do!” Then giant words began to crack: DO NOT → DON’T CANNOT → CAN’T “Contractions squish words nice and tight! Apostrophes help make them right!”
