**All my lyrics are original and handwritten, copy or distribute at your own risk** This is my real life journey through hip-hop when I started 25 years ago up until the moment I hit publish. Sippin this codeine// I slow lean// Stereo booming, all of these oldies// See I grew up on Pete Rock// and CL Smooth// Play a tape till it popped up in my room// Dusty crates, wit bones in the mix// Wanted to rock a mic, n be dope as shit// Grabbed the pen and pad// Started focusing on the gift// Stressing every line, making sure they don't miss// Freestyle battles up in the lunch room// Aiming for they notes like I punch tunes// Got the skills for the biz, but they won't front you// Murder every rapper alive? (I want to)// Had to sling my own tapes that I pressed myself// Hand to hand combat jus to get put on the shelf// I ain't even vexed, reliving the memory// Of a time before all these peoples were into me// See I ain't need the money, power or the flex// I wanted to be feared// Due respect, when I come for ya neck// It's why I still talk all this shit, in every bar// It's why I still shoot every shot, no matter how far// I'm jus built different then most of these cats// Some of yall were still in balls when I started to rap// Now the lil homies on the block wanna give me dap// Cause they see the hustle, know where I've been at// I was 17 when I got peeped on game// They said you needa rap simple, if you chasing the fame// But I looked around at all these metaphors// And wondered why nobody had used um before// Then I discovered the hidden wonder of the internal// Got nocturnal in the journal, round them down to the kernel// Making pop filters out of coat hangers and socks// That's right about the time I discovered the homie Jadox// Slid him a tape and told um that, that thang rocks// Wasn't long before the kid got featured on some of his drops// Linked up with Repeat Offenders, and Board of Directors// Started making chess moves, other homies were playing checkers// Now I'm signed to an indie label, with 23 other rappers// But the stomach empty, still hungry, there's something I'm after// Had a lot of homies, but had a lot of lonely nights// Then me and Davy D, opened up for Obie Trice// That's about the time I had Vast Aire in the jack, on speed dial// Bounce ideas off one another, we did it for awhile// Linked up with Living Legends, hit a few freestyles// Lucky I am and Grouch, made um both think ya boy was wild// Smoking like a freight train now, off so many drags// Then I stole this one girl, right up off of Vinnie Paz// Did some dirt in the streets, chasing the clout// But that wasn't easy, its not what I was ever really about// Took all the lessons, tried to make the mind clear// Then I met V I, who was working with DJ Premier// The musical chemistry was off of the Richter// Now everything's in focus, it's a clearer picture// Flew out to Vegas, we doing shows and proving the worth// Slept on dudes couch for 3 months, jus putting in work// New spot every night, rocking the set// City wide buzz, and feeling fresh to death// Then all of a sudden it was hard for V I to catch his breath// I wasn't really ready for what came next// Still can hear his daughter crying for Daddy// As they lowered him into the ground// I'mma keep it 100, I'm crying now, as I remember the sound// The heartbreak I felt was immense and astounding// Still keep all the vinyls we pressed on the walls around me// I put the pen down for 18 years// Couldn't get the bars to flow, only the tears// The game moved on, as the kid got older// Had the weight of the world put onto my shoulders// Then I'm poking around, one day on the net// Discovered Suno, felt the itch and said, bet!// Been a few months now, that I've been writing again// Did the O street Cipher, and shared the mic wit friends// That was really dope yo, built a little sense of community// I really do mean it, I appreciate ya'll vibing with me// I do be off the wall, and acting like an oddity// That's just how I rap tho, it's always been a part of me// I just wanna make bars that leave you scratching ya head// Confused and shit, like ("what was that he just said")// I value every like, comment, and follow// Ya'll been helping me shine a light on some areas that were hallow// I've done some work wit folks on here, I really admire// Appreciate you being all in instead of kicking the tires// To all the homies, that shown love, I try an show it back// Lets keep building, win after win, an watching um stack// I'm in a good space now, some things in life are changing// Got some moves to make, and thangs that need rearranging// Gotta different outlook, now that I found this lil weirdo// The path ahead got curves and bends// And we learning how to steer those// She got me on a different level right now, filled with purpose// Motivation at an all-time high, and not just on the surface// We move on an unspoken level, the motion like coreography// Shit just wasn't complete, till I added her to my Autobiography//
