I'll Tell You How It Is

[Verse] In a swirl of green and gold they rise A friendship tangled in the skies One in shadows one in light Bound together day and night [Prechorus] You call me wicked I call you blind But somewhere in the chaos We’re intertwined [Chorus] Elphaba and Glinda dancing on the line Heroes or villains who decides the design When the winds howl and the stars collide Elphaba and Glinda side by side [Verse 2] You wear the crown I wear the blame Different paths but the fire’s the same Your smile’s a weapon my voice a storm Together we’re breaking every norm [Prechorus] You call me hopeless I call you tame But in the end We share the flame [Chorus] Elphaba and Glinda dancing on the line Heroes or villains who decides the design When the winds howl and the stars collide Elphaba and Glinda side by side
