i stopped using punctuation all my words mashed together the script a mess the actors forgot their blocking going through the motions without understanding the subtext. if you catch me rolling past
your apartment building in Riverside staring like I’ve been there a thousand times in my mind would you do me a favor and pretend you’ve got something in your eye
turn away, before it’s too late I want to exist in your memory like the girl you fell in love with not this obsessive creepy stranger who rifles through your mail and leaves flower petals at your doorstep. i tried living an unexamined life all the old habits swept behind the pillars of foundational paradigms
but i’m not the one on trial not passively watching from the side I’m on the frontlines i’m dying for nothing. I’m dying miles from home Wondering if i left the gas on if you catch me rolling past
(I’m dying...) your apartment building in Riverside (staring...) staring like I’ve been there a thousand times in my mind would you do me a favor to pretend you’ve got something in your eye
turn away, before it’s too late I want to exist in your memory Did I wanna leave the gas on...
