(Verse 1) Paul writes to Timothy, a shepherd in the fight, In Ephesus standing for what is true and right. “Don’t let strange voices pull the church astray, Hold to the gospel, don’t drift away.” False teachers talk with empty sound, But grace in Christ is where we’re found. Faith, not rules, is how we’re saved, By Jesus Christ, the One who came. (Chorus) Fight the good fight, keep the faith alive, Hold to eternal life, don’t just survive. Pray for all people, lift holy hands high, There’s one God and one Savior who hears every cry. (Verse 2) Teach the church to gather in peace, Prayer for rulers, let division cease. One Mediator, Christ alone, Brings us to the Father’s throne. Leaders called must walk in light, Blameless hearts, doing what is right. Deacons serve with humble care, God sees character everywhere. (Chorus) Fight the good fight, keep the faith alive, Hold to eternal life, don’t just survive. Pray for all people, lift holy hands high, There’s one God and one Savior who hears every cry. (Verse 3) Train in godliness day by day, Let your life be an example in every way. Care for widows, love the church, Don’t let greed leave your soul in the dirt. For the love of money leads hearts astray, But righteousness lights the narrow way. Be rich in good works, generous and true, Let Christ be the treasure you pursue. (Bridge) Timothy, stand strong, don’t be ashamed, Of the gospel message in Jesus’ name. Guard what was given, hold it tight, Walk in the truth, walk in the light. (Final Chorus) Fight the good fight, keep the faith alive, Hold to eternal life, don’t just survive. Grace will sustain you, His word will stay, Till the King returns on that final day.
