Compassion

🧡 𝐙𝐀𝐑𝐐'𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐠 Compassion appears warm, yet I learned at a heavy cost that it can become an invasion when boundaries blur. Now able to recognize the difference, I choose to protect myself first. In doing so, I embrace a more mature version of myself. Happy New Year. ──────── For me, sinking deep into emotions, Compassion wore two faces A face of warmth, And a face destructive and cruel For too long, I allowed the invasion of others' emotions, Their expectations, their weight, All under the name of compassion I carried feelings that weren’t mine, Drifted into currents far from my path, Until I could barely recognize myself The grain of my heart split open, While I kept giving myself away without realizing the cost When compassion begins to wound me, I wonder why I failed to stand firm Did you ever see it? When the lines begin to blur, Compassion becomes an invasion The season of kneeling to your emotions has ended, The season of erasing myself has finally faded, And I shed the habit of wearing your ache as my own Don't expect me to step inside the pain, Rather than simply gazing at it You were not my responsibility, nor my mission Now, the current of compassion Flows back... to me This is for myself, My first compassion ──────── 💞 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 감정에 깊이 빠져드는 내게 연민은 두 얼굴을 하고 있었지 따뜻함의 얼굴과 파괴적이고 잔인한 얼굴 오랜 시간 동안 타인의 감정 침투, 기대와 무게를 연민이라는 이름 아래 허용해 왔어 누군가의 감정을 대신 짊어졌고 나와 상관없는 흐름에 휘말렸고 그 결과 나조차 나를 잃어버렸지 마음의 결이 찢기고, 나 스스로를 희생해 왔단 걸 몰랐네 연민의 감정이 나를 해치는 방향이라면 때로는 단호해야 한다는 걸 왜 몰랐을까 당신은 알았을까? 경계가 흐려지면 그 연민은 침탈이 되는 거란 것을 너의 감정에 무릎 꿇던 시기는 끝났어 너의 기대에 나를 지워내던 시기도 지났고 너의 고통을 내 것으로 착각하는 습관도 벗겨낼 거야 누군가의 고통을 바라보는 대신 그 고통 속으로 발을 들이던 나를 기대하지 마 너는 내 책임과 사명이 아니었으니 이제 이 연민의 방향은 나를 향하게 될 거야 이건 나 자신을 위한 첫 번째 연민 ──────── 𝐙𝐀𝐑𝐐 | suno.com/@zarq Written & Produced by ZARQ © 2026 ZARQ.
