[A gentle acoustic chorus, easy to repeat around the campfire, based on 1 John 4:19.] [HE FIRST LOVED ME Fruit of the Spirit — Week 1: Love] [Chorus] I love Him because He first loved me, Like roots give life to a growing tree. Holy Spirit, grow Your love in me, So others see Jesus in me. Love in my words, love in my hands, Helping a neighbor whenever I can. Forgiving and sharing, wherever I’ll be— I love Him because He first loved me. [Repeat softly] Holy Spirit, grow Your love in me, So others see Jesus in me. Holy Spirit, grow Your love in me, So others see Jesus in me. [Chorus] I love Him because He first loved me, Like roots give life to a growing tree. [outro] [© 2026 Frank C Sloan @Nebraskafrankmusic]
