🧡 𝐙𝐀𝐑𝐐'𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐠 Inspired by Han Kang’s poem “Before It Grows Dark,” which captures the contradictions of a hellish existence, I translated its seductive dread and ominous tension into experimental future nu-jazz. 지옥 같은 삶의 모순된 상태를 표현한 한강 작가의 시 ‘어두워지기 전에’에서 영감받아, 매혹적인 공포와 불길한 긴장감을 실험적인 퓨처 누재즈로 풀어냈다. ──────── 어두워지기 전에 그 말을 들었다 어두워질 거라고 더 어두워질 거라고 지옥처럼 바싹 마른 눈두덩을 너는 그림자로도 문지르지 않고 내 눈을 건너다봤다 내 눈 역시 바싹 마른 지옥인 것처럼 어두워질 거라고 더 어두워질 거라고 두려웠다 두렵지 않았다 두렵지 않았다 (두려웠다) 두렵지 않았다 ──────── 💞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Before it grew dark I heard those words. Your eyelids parched like hell itself, without so much as brushing them with a shadow, you gazed across into my eyes, as though my eyes too were a hell parched dry. That it would grow dark.
