Rooting for Number One (The Feral Pig Fight Song) M 312 V5.5

[We were watching a YouTube video about Feral Hogs whose population is growing at an exponential rate. They are smart! After a trap works they communicate among themselves to avoid it in the future. If a group is caught in a cage they climb on top of each other to escape out the open top. According to statistics the hogs are expanding into more states all the time. It is open season for hunters to hunt them in any way they can; many even opting for helicopter hunting. The hogs dig down into the soil destroying crops and landscape (especially loving peanuts) and they dig holes for themselves during that winter that people are calling "Pigloos". Poison isn't advisable because after a slow and painful death other animals and birds might eat them and die as well. It is estimated that there are already 3 million feral hogs in the USA and that it would take hunters killing 2 million per year just to keep their number down to that horrific 3 million level! They have expanded and are even wrecking havoc in the cities! FYI - ROE is the military acronym for Rules of Engagement – Team Tiglet: Kevin "Tigger" & Mira "Piglet" 🐯💍🐷] [Intro: Heavy drumline cadence, blaring trumpets and trombones, referee whistle] (Spoken, loud megaphone voice) "Alright herd, listen up! We're three million strong and we're digging the fields!" [Chant: Group shouting in rhythm] Go! Hogs! Go! Root, root, root! Get up and use your Snoot! [Verse: Upbeat, driving marching band rhythm] We're charging down fields, yeah we’re three million strong, You set your little traps but you played the defense wrong! We climb upon each other and break out of the cage, Get in our way again and you will feel our rage! [Chorus: High energy, massive brass section, booming male choir] Oh, we’re rooting with and for you! Yeah, we’re digging in the dirt! We’re the undefeated champions Of the traps that we avert! When the winter hits the ground and the temperatures drop too low, We’ll be chilling in our Pigloos waiting for the evening's ROE! [Verse: Fast and rhythmic, heavy snare drums] You bring the helicopters and think it's the winning play? We audible the defense and we scatter right away! No poison's gonna stop us, we're the kings of the turf, We're the greatest feral dynasty on all of planet Earth! We share our little secrets when the traps are set and laid, You’re dealing with the finest feral army ever made! [Bridge: Stripped back to just a drumline breakdown and rhythmic clapping] Hide and maul, dig for peanuts, beat the hunter's play! Better believe that feral hogs are here to stay! Let us back, let us back, way back to the brush! Leave the farmers behind in our peanut-scented hush! (1, 2, 3, 4! Hear the mighty porkers roar!) [Final Chorus: Maximum explosive marching band energy, chaotic and fun] 'Cause, we’re rooting with and for you! Yeah, we’re digging in the dirt! We’re the undefeated champions Of the traps that we avert! When the winter hits the ground and the temperatures drop too low, We’ll be chilling in our Pigloos waiting for the evening's ROE! [Outro: Blaring horns, fading drum cadence, playful snorts] Flight! Flight! Flight! Now a few spreading million strong... Time to build more Pigloos. (We're gonna come out number one!) [End]
