Illness and its Cure

V6

We lived our days in shadows, proud and blind, And took the fruits of earth without a care. We left the cosmic principles behind, And breathed in poison with the heavy air. The darkness grew within the mortal frame. The body weakened as the fever burned, A heavy price for all the laws we broke. In beds of pain, the bitter lessons learned, As finally the inner spirit woke. We saw the shadows that our hands had cast. For illness is no cruel and random fate, But nature's way to guide the straying soul. It softens up the heart we filled with hate, And shows the broken parts to make us whole. True empathy is born through shedding tears. The cure is not in potions or in pills, But deep within the chambers of the mind. Forgiveness is the remedy for ills, Leaving the old destructive thoughts behind. The light of love begins to heal the cell. Now walking in the sun, our actions true, The physical reflects the inner grace. The cosmic laws are born in us anew, We find our purpose in this time and space. A gentle dawn awaits the healing heart. A gentle dawn awaits the healing heart.
