TAPE_09: DON’T PLAY

🎤 **“TAPE_09: DON’T PLAY THIS”** 📼👁️ **[INTRO – tape hiss + click]** (static…) (click) …testing… …is this working…? (long silence) (whisper) …don’t… play this… --- **[VERSE 1 – calm storytelling]** Found a tape in a box in the back of my room No date, no name, just a number in gloom Pressed play, heard breath, thought it might be a joke Then I heard my own voice… but I never spoke Said “if you hear this, don’t rewind the past” Static cut in, then it faded too fast Every second got colder than before Like something inside was opening a door --- **[BREAK – silence]** (2 seconds silence) (glitch burst) --- **[HOOK – eerie, slow]** This ain’t mine… this ain’t me… But it’s saying everything I see… If I stop… will it stop too…? Or is it watching everything I do… --- **[VERSE 2 – more disturbed]** Went back again, yeah I had to check Tape said “turn around”… I froze in my neck Didn’t move, didn’t breathe, didn’t make one sound But I swear I felt something behind me now Voice got deeper, tone went wrong Like it stretched every word too long Said “you found what you shouldn’t find” Then the tape said my name… in reverse… in time --- **[CHAOS BREAK – glitch + whisper]** ERROR—ERROR— (reverse voice) …you’re still here… (static scream) --- **[FINAL VERSE – breaking]** I smashed the tape but it didn’t end Now the sound just loops again and again No more player, no more screen But I still hear it in between (slow, almost whisper rap) If you hear this… don’t press play… Don’t let it learn the things you say… --- **[OUTRO – tape dying]** (distorted) …we… remember… you… (click)
