Ballad of the Boots of Blinding Speed (A Morrowind Tale)

Many years ago A quite eccentric mage Enchanted a pair of boots With some effects quite strange. Made of boiled netch leather Their armor rating light They could make you run like a rabbit But in dark as black as night. These boots came to the attention Of a trader of ill repute Pemenie, with a bounty on her head, A fact she will refute. [Chorus] Pemenie Pemenie Running with feet fleet Running from the law with speed No Ordinator can beat. She thought at first what luck she had But soon she came to find That the mighty speed they gave her Made her 100% blind. One day while out wandering She became completely lost She asked an adventurer for help But the boots would be the cost. [Chorus] Pemenie Pemenie Running with feet fleet Running from the law with speed No Ordinator can beat. From Caldera to Gnaar Mok, The adventurer led her there And in exchange for his services The trader gave him the pair. What the trader didn't know Is Resist Magicka and Night Eye Could help the boots' wearer To not be completely blind. Now the great adventurer Everywhere they go Needs no silt strider anymore No teleportation, no canoe. They can simply run there In the blinking of an eye Disproving the old saying, "Why walk when you can ride." [instrumental]
