Close your eyes, my morning star, The night has come from hills afar. The moon will guard your dreams tonight, And wrap you in her silver light. Be brave, my child, when winds grow wild, Let kindness bloom, though storms beguile. The earth will feed you, strong and true, So love the land that shelters you. Sleep, brave one, sleep, Let the forest sing you deep. Let the river hum your name, And the stars light up your flame. Mo ghràdh, mo leanabh, bi nad chadal ciùin, Respect the hearts of those you meet, Speak gentle words, walk soft and sweet. The world is wide, but love is near, In every hand, in every tear. You are the seed, you are the song, You’ll grow with roots forever strong. And when you rise to greet the day, Let truth and joy light up your way. Sleep, brave one, sleep, Let the forest sing you deep. Let the river hum your name, And the stars light up your flame. Mo chridhe, mo rùn, bi nad chadal ciùin.
